Tucked within the grounds of our family home, The Garden Annex is a cosy base for a weekend away or a few quieter days in the countryside.
The annex is attached to the house, with its own entrance and accommodation. Inside, you’ll find two double bedrooms, a well-equipped kitchen, Wi-Fi and a dedicated workspace.
Outside, generous shared gardens open out onto private fields and countryside walks. Spend a little time by the pool in summer, or enjoy a clear evening around the paddock fire pit when the seasons turn.

Make the most of the heated swimming pool during the warmer months. The pool is shared with our family, and we’ll do our best to arrange private swimming sessions when requested.

When the pool closes for winter, the paddock fire pit offers another way to enjoy the outdoors. On suitable clear evenings, wrap up, gather around the fire and take in the countryside skies.

A few things
worth knowing.
This is a family home and a working countryside property. Here are the details to help you decide whether the annex is right for your stay.
Is the annex private?
The annex is attached to our family home but has its own guest accommodation and entrance. The gardens and seasonal pool are shared with the family. The downstairs WC is shared by day and reserved for annex guests overnight.
How do we access the property?
The private entrance is reached through our working yard. Business vehicles, equipment and day-to-day activity may be visible during weekday working hours. Please take care through the yard and do not enter other buildings or work areas.
What is the bathroom layout?
The upstairs family bathroom is accessed through the main bedroom. There is also a downstairs WC, shared with the family during the day and locked for exclusive annex use overnight.
When can we use the pool?
The heated pool is open May–September and closed October–April. It is shared with the family. Let us know when you would like to swim and we’ll do our best to arrange a private session.
Are there animals on the property?
Yes. Our four dogs have free run of the property, and our three cats may also appear around the gardens and grounds.
How do we book direct?
Email Kelly@wards-welding.com with your preferred check-in and check-out dates and the number of guests. Direct stays are £130 per night for up to four guests. All stays are subject to availability.
